Tournament Rules

All games will start and stop simultaneously at the sound of the airhorn. All games will be 25 minutes running time. Teams should be on the field prior to the start of each game. There will be no halftime, unless it is extremely hot, in that event, the game will be stopped midway through for a drink lasting no longer than one minute. Ifthe fields are on a large incline, giving advantage to one team, the officials will have teams switch attacking goals to make playing fair.

All teams will have five field players and one goalie on the field to play.

No shoes or shin pads allowed. We will again be selling sand socks at the registration table.

No offsides

Unlimited substitutions. Sub on the fly. The player leaving the field may have no contact with the ball upon leaving. The player leaving the field must exit at the closest out of bounds line. Ideally, the entering player does not step on the field until the exiting player has stepped off the field.

All restarts are indirect kicks.

A 7yd zone can be requested on all restarts.

At the start of each game and after each goal, the ball can be played either forward or backward.

Six kicks can not be played back to the goalie and must be played forward.

The goal area where the keeper can play the ball with her hands extends five yards deep and the with of the field, indicated by the cones.

The goalie can play the ball with her hands on pass backs and restrarts.

Field size: 25 x 35 yards depending on size of the beach that day

Guaranteed Games: 3

Guest players: 10 players per team maximum unlimited guests

Entry Fee: $130.00 App Due: July 1, 2010
Description: The Ocean City Splash Bash Beach Soccer tournament is a unique soccer experience. It is designed to be a fun, first get together for fall travel soccer teams and also a final get together for teams that are entering high school in September. It is affordably priced at $130. Teams have a guarantee of 3 games. Games are over by early afternoon so your team and families can enjoy the rest of the day on the beach in Ocean City. Teams play on the beach, barefoot and no shin pads for three 25 minute games. The games are spirited and competitive but no standings are kept and no trophies are awarded.

Age Requirement: Players may play in an older division; however, a player may not play down.

No shoes or shin pads: Players must play in bare feet or sand socks
